To apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor (NET) under CBSE UGC NET July 2018, follow these steps. Additionally, after applying, you can check the results when they are released.
Steps to Apply for UGC NET 2018 Exam:
Step 1: Visit the Official UGC NET Website
- Go to the official UGC NET website: https://cbsenet.nic.in.
- This is the official portal for the UGC NET 2018 Examination conducted by CBSE.
Step 2: Read the Official Notification
- Download and Read the Notification: Carefully go through the official notification for UGC NET July 2018, which contains important information such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and application process.
- Ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts.
Step 3: Registration
- New Registration: If you are a new user, click on the "New Registration" link on the homepage.
- Fill in your basic details such as name, email ID, contact number, and password to create an account.
- Log In: After registration, log in to your account using your user ID and password.
Step 4: Fill in the Application Form

Pay the Application Fee: The application fee must be paid online through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking. The fee varies by category:
- General/OBC: Rs. 1,000.
- SC/ST/PWD/Transgender: Rs. 250.
- EWS (Economically Weaker Section): Rs. 500.

Payment Confirmation: After payment, make sure you receive a confirmation of successful payment.
Step 6: Review and Submit the Application
- Review the Form: Carefully check all the details you have entered in the application form.
- Verify your personal information, documents, and payment status.
- Submit: After ensuring everything is correct, click the "Submit" button to complete your application.
Step 7: Download and Print the Application Form
- Download: After submitting the form, download and save the completed application form for future reference.
- Print: Print the application form and fee receipt for your records.
Step 8: Admit Card Download
- Admit Card: The UGC NET admit card will be available on the website a few weeks before the exam date.
- Log in to the portal to download and print your admit card once it is released.
Step 9: Exam and Result
- Take the Exam: Prepare and attend the UGC NET exam as per the schedule.
- Check Results: After the exam is conducted, visit the official website to check your UGC NET Result for JRF and Assistant Professor.
- Results will be announced on the same portal.
