The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur announced the JEE Advanced 2025 results on June 2, 2025, marking a significant milestone for engineering aspirants across India. This highly competitive examination, conducted on May 18, 2025, saw over 1.8 lakh candidates appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, with 54,378 successfully qualifying.
This year’s cutoff marks dropped notably to 74 for the Common Rank List (CRL), a 30% decrease from 2024’s 109, making it slightly easier for candidates to qualify. Top performers, including Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with 332 out of 360 marks, have set a high benchmark. Qualified candidates can now prepare for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling, starting June 3, 2025, to secure seats in prestigious IITs and other institutes.
