Step-by-Step Guide to Know Your Subject-Wise Exam Date
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Regularly check the official website of the National Testing Agency (ugcnet.nta.ac.in). The final subject-wise exam date sheet will be uploaded in PDF format.
Step 2: Locate Your Subject Code
Each subject in UGC NET has a unique code (e.g., Education - 09, Commerce - 08). Refer to your application form or subject list to confirm the exact subject code you’ve applied for.
Step 3: Download the Exam Schedule PDF
Once released, download the UGC NET June 2025 subject-wise timetable from the official portal. The PDF will provide the date and shift (morning or evening) for your subject.
Step 4: Check Admit Card for Confirmation
Your admit card, which is expected to be released at least 7 days before the exam, will contain the exact date, time, and exam center details. This serves as the final confirmation of your subject’s schedule.
Expected Pattern of Subject-Wise Scheduling
While the exact dates vary year to year, NTA usually follows a pattern based on the volume of candidates for each subject:
-
High-application subjects like Commerce, Education, and English Literature are often scheduled early in the window (25th–26th June).
-
Moderate to low-volume subjects such as Philosophy, Anthropology, or Criminology may be placed later in the week (27th–29th June).
-
Some subjects are conducted in two shifts depending on applicant strength.
Keep in mind, the official NTA bulletin remains the only source for exact subject-wise scheduling, and candidates must rely solely on this for planning.
