CBSE Board Class 10th & 12th Supplementary Exam Date Sheet 2025

The CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 for Class 10 and 12 provide students with an opportunity to improve their academic performance or clear subjects they did not pass in the main board exams, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These exams, conducted in July 2025, follow the same syllabus as the main exams and are designed to help students avoid losing an academic year. Eligible students include those who failed in up to two subjects for Class 10 or one subject for Class 12, as well as those who passed but wish to enhance their marks. The registration process is online, with specific deadlines and fees for regular and private candidates. Students are encouraged to check the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, for detailed schedules and guidelines to prepare effectively.

Key Dates:

  • Registration window: May 30 to June 17, 2025 (without late fee); June 18 to June 30, 2025 (with late fee).

  • Supplementary exam start date: July 15, 2025 (Class 10 and 12).

  • Class 10 exam end date: July 22, 2025.

  • Class 12 exam date: July 15, 2025 (single day for all subjects).

  • Admit card release: First week of July 2025.

  • Result announcement: First week of August 2025.

Fees:

  • Private candidates in India: INR 300 per subject.

  • Private candidates in Nepal: INR 1,000 per subject.

  • Private candidates outside India: INR 2,000 per subject.

  • Late fee (if applicable): INR 2,000 in addition to the subject fee.

  • Payment methods: Debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Eligibility:

  • Class 10 students who failed in up to two subjects.

  • Class 12 students who failed in one subject (compartment category).

  • Students who passed but want to improve marks (up to two subjects for Class 10, one for Class 12).

  • Private candidates and those who appeared as regular candidates in 2024-25 board exams.

Steps to Apply:

  • Visit cbse.gov.in and navigate to the “Private Candidate Supplementary Examination 2025” section (private candidates) or contact your school (regular candidates).

  • Select the subjects for the supplementary exam and fill in personal details accurately.

  • Upload required documents, such as photographs, as specified in the CBSE notification.

  • Pay the application fee online before the deadline to avoid late charges.

  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

  • Check the CBSE website regularly for the subject-wise timetable and admit card.
