NTA UGC NET June 2025 Result

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the UGC NET June 2025 results, bringing relief and excitement to lakhs of candidates across India who appeared for the prestigious exam. Details

You must have completed or be in the final year of a Master’s Degree in the subject you are applying for.

Minimum 55% marks required (for general category).

Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject are also eligible.

🎯 UGC NET June 2025 Cut-off Marks (Expected Range)

Although the final cut-off list is released along with the result, here’s an approximate range based on past trends:

  • General Category (JRF): 65–70%

  • OBC/EWS (JRF): 60–65%

  • SC/ST (JRF): 55–60%

  • Assistant Professor only (General): 60–65%

  • Assistant Professor only (Reserved): 50–60%

📌 What Happens After You Qualify UGC NET?

Once you’ve qualified the exam, here's what comes next:

For JRF-qualified Candidates:

  • Eligible to apply for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC/CSIR or other research organizations.

  • You can register for a Ph.D. and may receive fellowship funding up to ₹35,000 per month.

  • Validity of the JRF award is usually 3 years.

For Assistant Professor Eligible Candidates:

  • You are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor roles in Indian universities, colleges, and higher education institutions.

  • This certification is valid for a lifetime.
