📌 What Happens After the Mains Result?
If you have qualified the Mains stage, the next and final step is the Interview / Personality Test. Here’s what comes next:
1. DAF (Detailed Application Form) Submission
Qualified candidates must fill out and submit the DAF on the UPSC portal within the stipulated deadline. This form collects detailed personal, academic, and experience-related data, and must be accurate.
2. Personality Test (Interview)
After the DAF submission, UPSC will schedule the interview round at its Delhi office. The interview panel will assess:

Leadership qualities and suitability for government service
3. Final Merit List
Based on performance in the Mains (written) and Interview, a final merit list will be released. Marks from the preliminary exam are only used for screening and do not count in the final selection.
🎯 Expected Cut-Off Marks (General Estimate)
The actual cut-offs will be released by UPSC only after the final selection. However, based on previous years, the expected Mains cut-offs (out of 600) for various categories are:
