 Candidates should have a Master's degree in Hindi or English with the other language as a compulsory subject.

 Alternatively, a Master’s degree in any subject with English as the medium of instruction and Hindi as a compulsory subject at the degree level.

Must also have a recognized diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English or vice versa, or 2 years of work experience in translation.

Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ)

What to Expect in the SSC JHT CBT Exam?

The SSC JHT 2025 CBT exam will test candidates in two main areas:

  • Paper I (Objective Type):

    • General Hindi (100 questions, 100 marks)

    • General English (100 questions, 100 marks)

    • Duration: 2 hours

    • Mode: Online

Only those who qualify Paper I will be shortlisted for Paper II, which is a descriptive paper testing translation and essay writing skills.


Who Can Apply for SSC JHT 2025?

    Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject at the degree level, or vice versa.
