🎯 Steps to Download UPSC ESE Mains Admit Card 2025

Follow these simple steps to download your admit card from the official UPSC website:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website: https://www.upsc.gov.in

  2. On the homepage, click on “Admit Cards” in the Examination section.

  3. Select “E-Admit Card for Engineering Services (Mains) 2025.”

  4. Read the instructions carefully, then click on “Yes” to proceed.

  5. Enter your Registration ID or Roll Number and your Date of Birth.

  6. Enter the security code displayed on the screen.

  7. Click on Submit to download your admit card.

  8. Save the admit card PDF and take a printout for the exam.

🧪 UPSC ESE Mains 2025: Exam Pattern Overview

The Mains examination consists of two conventional papers (Paper I and Paper II), each of 300 marks, based on the engineering discipline selected by the candidate. These papers test your core technical knowledge and are descriptive in nature.

  • Total Marks: 600 (300 + 300)

  • Duration: 3 hours for each paper

  • Mode: Pen & paper-based

  • Syllabus: As per the selected engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Telecommunication)


🔍 What Happens After the Mains?

Once the Mains examination is conducted, UPSC will evaluate the answer sheets and release the result on its website. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for the final round – Personality Test/Interview, which will carry 200 marks.

Final selection will be made based on marks scored in:

  • Prelims (500 marks)

  • Mains (600 marks)

  • Interview (200 marks)
