About the Agniveer Vayu Scheme
The Agniveer Vayu scheme under the Agnipath initiative offers youth aged 17.5 to 21 years a chance to serve in the Indian Airforce for four years. Selected candidates undergo rigorous training, gain professional skills, and receive a competitive salary package along with allowances.
At the end of four years, up to 25% of Agniveers may be offered permanent roles based on performance, merit, and the organization’s needs. Those who exit after four years receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package to help them start their next career phase.
