- Must have qualified NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an equivalent test such as SLET/SET.
Special Disciplines
- For Dress Design & Garment Manufacturing and Interior Design, qualifications are aligned with Engineering/Technology criteria.
Experience Criteria
- Teaching or Post-Doctoral experience carries additional weightage:
- Two marks per year of experience
- If experience is more than six months but less than one year, one mark will be awarded
- Maximum additional marks apply as per rules
- Need-Based or Contractual Teachers under Jharkhand Higher and Technical Education Department may receive additional marks, subject to a maximum cap.
- Time spent acquiring M.Phil or Ph.D. will not be counted as teaching experience.

- For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates of Jharkhand: ₹150
