Army JCO Religious Teacher, Havildar Online Form 2023

Indian Army Recruitment has released the advertisement for the recruitment of Religious Teacher (Dharm Guru) and Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer under the Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) category. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online between 16th February 2023 to 20th March 2023.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Religious Teacher (Dharm Guru):
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a degree in theology or equivalent. Specific qualifications for each religion (Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity) will be mentioned in the detailed advertisement.
  • Age Limit: Generally between 25 years to 34 years (Age relaxation as per government rules for reserved categories).
For Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer (SAC):
  • Educational Qualification:
    • 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or B.Sc with Geology, Geography, Computer Science, etc.
    • Candidates should have knowledge of survey-related work and computerized mapping.
  • Age Limit: Typically between 20 years to 25 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per government norms for reserved categories.

Selection Process:

The selection process will generally include the following stages:

  1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

    • Physical standards will be checked during the recruitment process.
  2. Written Examination (CEE):

    • Religious Teacher: Questions will cover general knowledge, religious studies, and current affairs.
    • Havildar SAC: Questions will be based on general knowledge, reasoning, mathematics, and subject-specific knowledge (Surveying and Mapping).
  3. Medical Examination:

    • Candidates will undergo medical testing as per the Army's medical standards.
  4. Final Merit List:

    • Based on performance in the written exam, physical test, and medical exam, a final merit list will be prepared.

Syllabus:

  • For Religious Teacher (Dharm Guru):

    • General Knowledge: History, Geography, Sports, Current Affairs.
    • Religious Studies: Knowledge about the specific religion they are applying for (Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity).
    • Reasoning and Aptitude: Basic reasoning questions to test problem-solving abilities.
  • For Havildar SAC:

    • General Knowledge: Geography, Current Affairs, and general science.
    • Mathematics: Basic arithmetic, geometry, algebra.
    • Survey and Mapping: Basics of surveying and mapping, computer applications related to cartography.

Pay Scale:

  • The pay scale for both positions will align with the Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) salary, which generally ranges between Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 (Level 6) per month along with other allowances.

Admit Card:
