CBSE Result 2025 Fake News Alert

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning about fake news circulating on social media regarding the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exam results. A fabricated letter dated May 2, 2025, falsely claimed that results would be announced on May 6 at 11 AM. CBSE has clarified that no official announcement has been made about the result date, urging students, parents, and stakeholders to rely solely on verified updates from official websites like cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. The board is expected to release results for over 42 lakh students in mid-May, based on historical trends, with exams conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025. Students can access their marksheets securely using platforms like DigiLocker and UMANG, ensuring a smooth and reliable process.

Key Dates:

  • Exam Period: February 15 to March 18, 2025 (Class 10); February 15 to April 4, 2025 (Class 12).

  • Expected Result Announcement: Mid-May 2025 (exact date to be confirmed by CBSE).

  • Supplementary Exams: Tentatively July 15–22, 2025.

  • Supplementary Results: Expected August 2025.

Fees:

  • Verification of Marks: Approximately ₹100–₹500 per subject (varies by service).

  • Photocopy of Answer Sheet: Around ₹700 per subject.

  • Re-evaluation: ₹100 per question (subject to change, confirm on cbse.gov.in).

Eligibility:

  • Result Access: Students who appeared for CBSE Class 10 or 12 exams in 2025.

  • Supplementary Exams: Students failing in up to two subjects can apply for compartment exams.

  • Verification/Re-evaluation: Available to all students post-result, with applications submitted online.

Steps to Check Results:

  • Visit official websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, or cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in.

  • Enter required credentials: roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin.

  • Submit details to view and download the marksheet.
