Key Steps for Candidates Before the Interview:

  1. Check Your Interview Date and Time: The UPSC has assigned specific dates for each shortlisted candidate. It's essential to verify your allotted schedule by logging into the official UPSC portal or through your registered email.

  2. Download the e-Summon Letter: The call letter or e-Summon for the interview will be available for download from the UPSC website prior to the interview. Carrying a printed copy of this document is mandatory.

  3. Document Verification: Ensure that all required documents—such as educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and identity proof—are ready and verified. Original documents must be presented during the interview.

  4. Follow Dress Code and Decorum: Since the interview is a formal interaction with a UPSC board, candidates are advised to dress formally and maintain discipline throughout the process.

  5. Prepare for the Personality Test: Apart from revising current affairs and general knowledge, focus on improving your communication skills, self-awareness, and confidence. The interview board may pose questions related to your background, aspirations, and views on national security and administration.

What Comes Next:

After the interview phase concludes, the UPSC will prepare the final merit list based on the combined performance of candidates in the written test and the interview. Successful candidates will be appointed to serve as Assistant Commandants in various CAPF branches, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in national service.

Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official UPSC website for any updates or changes to the schedule. It's also advisable to keep all notifications saved for future reference.
