NTA NEET Online Counselling Application Form 2019

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) Examination 2018. The examination is conducted for candidates interested in pursuing undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS) in India. Candidates who have completed the necessary eligibility criteria can read the full notification and apply online.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Candidates must have passed the 12th grade (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
    • The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination (for general category candidates) and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
    • Candidates appearing for the class 12th exam can also apply.
  2. Age Limit:

    • Minimum Age: 17 years (as of 31 December 2018).
    • Maximum Age: 25 years (for General category) and 30 years (for SC/ST/OBC category) as of 31 December 2018.
    • Age relaxation is provided as per government rules.
  3. Nationality:

    • Indian citizens, as well as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Foreign Nationals, are eligible to apply.

Application Process:

  1. Visit the official NTA NEET website.
  2. Register and create an account on the NTA portal.
  3. Fill in the application form with personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.
  4. Upload the required documents (photo, signature, etc.) as per the specifications mentioned in the official notification.
  5. Pay the examination fee online using debit/credit cards, net banking, or other payment options.
  6. Submit the application and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee:

  • General / OBC: Rs. 1400/-
  • SC / ST / PH: Rs. 750/-
  • For Female Candidates: Same as above (Fee exemption is not applicable).

Important Dates:

  • Application Start Date: 1 November 2018
  • Last Date for Submission: 30 November 2018
  • Admit Card Availability: 15 April 2019
  • Exam Date: 5 May 2019
  • Result Declaration: 5 June 2019

Selection Process:

  1. The NEET exam is conducted in a pen-paper mode (offline).
  2. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  3. Candidates are awarded marks based on correct answers, and a negative marking system is applied.
  4. The final selection for counseling is based on the NEET scores.

Counseling:

  • After the declaration of results, counseling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission into MBBS/BDS courses.
  • Candidates must fill in their choice of colleges and courses during the counseling process.
