Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Class 12 (Senior Secondary): Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, and at least one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from a recognized board.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 17.5 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years
  • Age relaxation as per government rules.

Physical Fitness Standards

• Height: Minimum 157 cm
• Weight: Proportional to height and age.
• Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm.
• Vision: Candidates must have 6/6 vision in one eye and 6/9 vision in the other eye (with or without glasses).
• Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in good physical condition to pass the physical fitness tests.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination: The candidates will first have to appear for a written examination to test their knowledge in subjects like mathematics, physics, and general knowledge.
2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will undergo a physical fitness test that includes running, push-ups, and other physical activities.
3. Medical Examination: After qualifying the PFT, candidates will go through a thorough medical examination.
4. Merit List: Based on performance in the written exam and physical tests, a final merit list will be prepared, and successful candidates will be selected for training.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly Package:

  • 1st Year: Rs. 30,000/- (in-hand: Rs. 21,000/-)
  • 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000/- (in-hand: Rs. 23,100/-)
  • 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500/- (in-hand: Rs. 25,580/-)
  • 4th Year: Rs. 40,000/- (in-hand: Rs. 28,000/-)

• Agniveer Corpus Fund: 30% of the monthly salary, which will be deposited into the Agniveer Corpus Fund.

• Seva Nidhi Package: At the end of the 4-year tenure, an Exit Package of Rs. 11.71 Lakh will be provided, which includes the Agniveer corpus fund and accumulated interest.

• Insurance: Rs. 48 Lakh life insurance cover during the service.

• Regular Service: Up to 25% of the candidates will be enrolled into the regular cadre of the Indian Navy based on their performance.
