Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess an MBBS degree or a recognized graduate medical qualification included under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Candidates holding qualifications listed in Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill additional conditions prescribed under the Act.
The qualification must be completed before the notification date.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)
For Open Merit candidates, the maximum age limit is 40 years.
For PHC candidates, the upper age limit is 42 years.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ALC/IB, and backward areas can apply up to 43 years.
In-service government candidates have an upper age limit of 40 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per JKPSC recruitment rules.
Application Fee
Candidates from the General category are required to pay ₹1200 as application fee.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to pay ₹700.
Physically Challenged candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.

Selection Process
The selection will be done through a written examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
The exam duration will be 2 hours, carrying 100 questions.
